This page covers some members of the families Sygnathidae (pipefish and seahorses), Solenostomidae (ghost pipefish) and Pegasidae (sea moths) found at Kwajalein. This is not a complete list, since we have not yet seen several species known to occur in the Marshalls. Also, the identifications are by no means certain. The animals are difficult to positively identify, and the various books we referenced do not appear to agree on all the names. These references are listed at the bottom of this page. We welcome any name corrections at uwkwaj@yahoo.com.
