Asterropteryx striata (Bleeker, 1874)
Blue-speckled rubble goby, 3cm

These have been observed by Christina Sylvester to be common just off the beach along the lagoon side of Kwajalein scooting around in broken coral and sand. It is also similar to the one we are calling Asterropteryx semipunctata and could be a variation of it. For now the ID must remain tentative.

The individual below found by Jay Lord seems to have its blue spots more irregularly distributed rather than being in straight rows.
