Ardeadoris egretta Rudman, 1984

This is a large species of nudibranch that continually moves its large gills. We saw the one specimen figured below in the Solomons, on a night dive near Yandina in the Russell Islands on 14 August 1987. We have also seen this very impressive species at Pohnpei.
