Ardeadoris egretta Rudman, 1984

Ardeadoris egretta is a magnificent sight on the pass reefs at Pohnpei. We have seen it a number of times in Mwand and Pelim Passes. A large species, it is usually crawling along out in the open, easy to spot from a distance.

I do not think the sponge the animal below is on is its food. It just happened to crawl over it during the photo session.
