This eolid differs from Phidiana indica in having a wide white band running between the rhinophores and back along the middle of the dorsum, and in its mostly white cephalic tentacles. Some of these features can more easily be seen in specimens from the Marshall Islands, listed as Phidiana sp. e551. Since we long had these lumped with Phidiana indica, our observational notes do not indicate which species (or form) we saw where.
