Glossodoris ? sp. h104

The genus of this apparently undescribed chromodorid species remains in doubt. The raised white pustules on the dorsum are reminiscent of some species of Glossodoris but the general body shape and structure of the gills look more like those of Chromodoris. In a post on the Sea Slug Forum, I suggested it is mostly likely a Chromodoris, and Seaslugs of Hawaii records it as Chromodoris sp. 4, but upon reflection I now lean a bit more towards Glossodoris. An examination of the internal anatomy will be required to settle the question. We first observed a pair of these nudibranchs at night near Puako, Hawaii, on 27 April 1981. In 1984 and 1985 we saw four more of these at night along the north shore of Oahu at Pupukea and Three Tables.
