Baeolidia salaamica (Rudman, 1982)

This looks like the species originally described as Spurilla salaamica from east Africa, and it has since been reported from Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Hawaii. The animal below found and photographed by Marissa and Peter Brown is the first record from the Marshalls. It was found on 4 January 2015 crawling on sand at a depth of about 13m, and the specimen measured 10-12mm in length.
