This Thecacera is similar to our Thecacera sp. b231 but has some differences in coloration. One like this is figured by Gosliner et al (2018) as Thecacera sp. 5. We have seen these in various sites around Tulamben, and they were especially common in October 2019.

On its prey bryozoan.

Apparently with a commensal copepod with curly white egg masses.

Carrying a commensal Zenopontonia rex shrimp.
