Chromodoris cf strigata Rudman, 1982
20mm

This species has the gray patches similar to Chromodoris strigata, but differs in a white body, orange bands between the black ones, and white pinnae on the gills. However, considering the colorvariation that has been found in Chromodoris colemani, it seems possible that C. strigata could vary in a similar way. These were fairly common during the May 2016 trip, usually on the underside or top of platelike sponges (Phyllospongia?) that grow out from the sides of reefs at a number of different dive sites. We have also seen these in Bali.
