Xiphonectes longispinosus (Dana, 1852)

Xiphonectes longispinosus, apparently named for the long lateral spines on the carapace, is commonly seen at night on sand or rocks on shallow lagoon and pinnacle reefs.

The next one could be a darker color variation or something different.
