Palapedia serenei Ng, 1993

This rather small crab was found and photographed by Stan Jazwinski at Kwajalein. It was tentatively identified as Palapdia serenei but also has some characteristics of a species of Actumnus.

This one from a lagoon Halimeda patch appears to be the same species.

This smaller individual appears to be the same, but lacks the maroon coloration in the chelipeds, possibly due to its smaller size (around 12mm). It was found by Christina Sylvester on a lagoon reef in coarse sand.
