Atergatopsis germainii A. Milne-Edwards, 1865
100mm

This fairly large crab has been seen at night on the seaward reef. The first shot is by Stan Jazwinski.

A smaller 35mm juvenile was under a rock on a Kwajalein Atoll lagoon reef. Note that the young ones have more hair on the carapace, which apparently is lost as they molt and grow.

This may be an even younger juvenile at about 20mm, although it could be a different species. It was under a rock on the seaward reef.
