Hyastenus auctus Rathbun, 1916
15mm (body)

This startlingly colorful epialtid was identified as most likely Hyastenus auctus. It was on sponges on the slope east of the Liberty wreck at Tulamben. The clean and colorful carapace probably indicates it recently molted.
