Dromidiopsis cf australiensis (Haswell, 1882)
15-20mm (body)

This is one of the sponge crabs and has modified rear appendages for holding something over its carapace. Many species carry sponges or tunicates, but this one happens to be carrying a small clump of Dendronephthya soft coral. This animal was in the Seraya area near Tulamben. Except for color, it resembles the figure of Dromidiopsis australiensis in Ryanskiy (2020) but the ID would need to be confirmed. It is also likely the same as the other one we are calling Dromidiopsis cf australiensis.
