Stychodactyla haddoni. This anemone has never been scientifically reported from the Marshall Islands. Here it tends to live on lagoon slopes, often in patches of the calcareous algae Halimeda. The anemones come in a variety of colors, the most common being brown and white. The orange one shown is relatively rare, as is a pink one also shown in the video. These anemones seem to act as nurseries for lots of small anemonefish, particularly the Marshall Islands endemic three-stripe anemonefish, Amphiprion tricinctus, and the three-spot damsel, Dascyllus trimaculatus. The anemones also play host to commensal shrimp and crabs.
