Naso thynnoides (Cuvier, 1829)
Barred unicornfish, 40cm

This smaller unicornfish forms schools on some lagoon pinnacles. It is easily recognized by the distinctly black eyes. In other references, it is also called the oneknife or singlespine unicornfish. The first two shots are by Stan Jazwinski.

In the image below captured from video, the unicornfish are mingled with some of the rabbitfish Siganus argenteus.
