Tethya sp. 1

We have seen this figured as a species of Tethya. It reportedly is capable of "walking" by slowly stretching out those tendrils until they attach to a rock and gradually pulling themselves along. These are moderately common under rocks on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs and generally measure about 25-30mm across, not including the "feet."
