Callyspongia cf joubini (Topsent, 1897) [3]

This Callyspongia is found in clumps on the lagoon slope, often in or near patches of Halimeda algae. This one, along with a couple of other forms (2 and 1) have been identified as Callyspongia joubini. Sponges species can vary in shape and color, so they are likely all the same. Still, there are enough differences that it seems worth presenting them on different pages.
