Callyspongia cf aerizusa Desqueyroux-Faúndez, 1984

It has been suggested that these are a form of Callyspongia flammea. However, we are keeping it separate due to the thicker body (our C. flammea are very thin), rougher textured surface and ragged edge to the large osculum. These have been observed on both seaward and lagoon reefs.
