There are several species in the Hesione revision by Salazar-Vallejo (2018) that resemble our worms, including H. reticulata and H. uchidai in the Pacific. We think our animals look a little more like the H. uchidai figured in that reference, but actual specimens would probably need to be examined for confirmation. Thes are found at Kwajalein Atoll under rocks on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs.
