Marshall Islands Longfins (Plesiopsidae)

The longfins constitute the rather small family Plesiopsidae, of which three species are known from the Marshalls. All are primarily nocturnal and hide away during the day. Two of them seem most common in intertidal reef tidepools and in quarries mined for building material.
