Enoplometopus daumi Holthuis, 1983

Enoplometopus daumi secretes itself well back in ledges and caves on the seaward reef. Even at night, all one usually gets are glimpses of it before it disappears into the darker recesses of the cave. The photo below of a specimen peeking out of a live coral colony was taken at night on the seaward reef by Jay Lord.

Below is a freshly molted carapace that one of the lobsters kindly dropped out of its cave.
