Paguritta corallicola Lewinsohn, 1978

Stan Jazwinski observed a number of these hermits inhabiting holes in Porites coral in passes and on the seaward reef at Ailinglaplap Atoll. I do not recall seeing any species of Paguritta at Kwajalein, Enewetak or any other atolls I've resided on or visited in the northern half of the Marshalls, and since I have seen other Paguritta species in Indonesia, it is hard to believe I could have missed them. Ailinglaplap is more than 200km south and west of Kwajalein, and it is possible that Paguritta is present only in the southern Marshalls. More data is needed to confirm this.
