Dardanus woodmasoni (Alcock, 1905)

Dardanus woodmasoni lives in lagoon patches of Halimeda algae on sand. It is another of the anemone crabs that, like Dardanus deformis, carries one or more anemones attached to its shell.

The Casmaria ponderosa shell used by the hermit below probably measured about 25 to 30mm.
