Dardanus gemmatus (H. Milne Edwards, 1848)

Dardanus gemmatus is an uncommon species we have found on lagoon pinnacle reefs at Kwajalein. Like Dardanus deformis, it forms a symbiotic relationship with the anemone Calliactis polypus. The bumps covering the entire claw distinguish this species from the similarly colored Dardanus pedunculatus.
