Marshall Islands Hawkfish (Cirrhitidae)

The family Cirrhitidae is a fairly small one with only a few species known from the Marshalls. They are mostly small to medium-sized carnivorous fish that spend most of their time perched on coral or rocky reef waiting for prey of small fishes or crustaceans to venture too close.
