Paragobiodon melanosoma (Bleeker, 1853)
Black coralgoby, 3.5cm

These little gobies live among the branches of living Seriatopora coral. We have seen them mostly in isolated loose coral colonies in lagoon slope Halimeda patches. Paragobiodon modestus can be similar in appearance but usually lives in Pocillopora corals.
