Gobiodon erythrospilus Bleeker, 1875
Red-spotted coralgoby

This little coralgoby lives among the branches of living Acropora coral where it is difficult to get to with a camera. These were found and photographed in shallow water (1 to 3m) in the lagoon of Majuro Atoll by Raphaël Forns. Two other Gobiodon species are similar in color but with subtle differences in pattern, G. aoyagii and G. histrio. So far G. erythrospilus is the only one that has been officially reported from the Marshalls.
