Stegastes punctatus (Quoy & Gaimard, 1825)
Bluesnout gregory, 13cm

Like other species of Stegastes, these territorial damsels aggressively defend patches of algae. These individuals, apparently showing some aggression, were found and photographed by Christina Sylvester in one of the Kwajalein reef quarries.

Younger individuals.

The next identification is somewhat questionable, but it could be a Stegastes punctatus. The photo was taken by Christina Sylvester off Kwajalein.
