Nautilus cf belauensis Saunders, 1981
192.8 x 97.8mm

This record is based on a few old beach shells and one empty shell in good condition found on a lagoon algae slope. The latter one would have floated across the east reef from the windward seaward side, and the shell looked just a bit too fresh to have taken the long slow drift with currents around from Palau, where it is known to live. It doesn't quite fit the original description of N. belauensis but it seems to be the closest. We cannot confirm living specimens in the Marshalls.
