Alicia cf pretiosa (Dana, 1846)

This is a nocturnal species often found in lagoon Halimeda patches and expanded out on rocky reefs at night. During the day, they are retracted and usually unnoticed. The tentacles are reported to give a powerful sting. The stalks are often around 50mm in height, but they can be a bit larger.
