We have not seen this seagrass at Kwajalein or Enewetak Atolls and are not 100% sure of the ID, but the photo was taken in shallow water along the shore of the north end of Ujelang Island, Ujelang Atoll, Marshall Islands, where there was a fairly extensive field of the seagrass. Unfortunately, I did not take any other photos, but Tsuda et al (1977) in summarizing the seagrasses of Micronesia list Thalassia hemprichii as having been reported from Ujelang, Ailinglaplap and Jaluit Atolls, so I assume this is that species.
