Laevichlamys cf wilhelminae (Bavay, 1904)

The photos below show three different specimens of a small pecten that is similar to Laevichlamys wilhelminae. Although it may be a variation of that species, we are currently treating it separately due to the more distinct sculpture and the dark spotting on one of the valves. The empty shell immediately below was found empty on a pinnacle reef some distance lagoonward of Ebeye Island, and the two living specimens below were photographed in an algae patch along the east reef.
