Hypselodoris purpureomaculosa Hamatani, 1995
25mm

Here are three shots of a single Hypselodoris purpureomaculosa we found on a night dive off Point Cruz, Honiara, Guadalcanal, on 7 April 1994. The first photo shows where he was first seen, and is probably somewhat scrunched up from setting its posterior end down on that little galatheid crab and likely being pinched. Once it moved off, it came out a bit more and showed its gills.
