Aegires gardineri (Eliot, 1906)

Aegires gardineri is similar to Aegires minor except that it has black blotches instead of black lines over the yellow body. We found three of these in the Solomons, all around Nggela. The pair in the first two photos below was in one of the Twin Tunnels on 4 April 1994, and the single specimen stretched out in the bottom photo was at Anuha on 3 April 1994.
