There's a pretty good chance this species is simply a variation of Phyllidiella pustulosa, but the regularity of its crosshatched pattern of black and the crowded pink pustules give it quite a different appearance. The single individual was found at Kwajalein Atoll. If indeed a different species, it would be another of the Mullerian mimics in the P. pustulosa group.
