Dendrodoris fumata (Rüppell & Leuckart, 1831) ?

Dendrodoris fumata is known to be an extremely variable species. It is not clear if this single specimen from Bikini Atoll is in fact that species, but it certainly falls into its range of variation. The individual was found under a chunk of dead coral at a depth of 2 meters on the lagoon reef at the south end of Bikini Island.
