Aegires minor (Eliot, 1904)
90mm

Aegires minor is one of the more common nudibranchs at Pohnpei. We have seen it in most of the passes, as well as on some inner reefs such as the one at Arou. Usually it is on its yellow prey sponge. Like the other large Aegires species, it is a stiff, slow moving nudibranch. This species and its congener Aegires gardineri were long considered to be in the genus Notodoris and some references still put them there.
