Pleurobranchus peronii Cuvier, 1804
40mm

This pleurobranch is so far known at Kwajalein from one adult and one juvenile specimen. The adult was found on 18 August 2014 under a rock on a lagoon pinnacle in the northern half of the atoll.

This 9mm long individual was found in a Halimeda algae patch on a Kwajalein Atoll lagoon reef on 7 September 2008 at a depth of 9m. The Sea Slug Forum shows an animal very much like this as a juvenile of Pleurobranchus peronii. The only other pleurobranch we find with some regularity in the area where this specimen was found is Pleurobranchus forskalii.
