Makapuu Tidepools, Oahu

The Makapuu reef consisted of a few tidepools on a lava flow just up the coast from the beach. Most of what I saw in here were small Hexabranchus. Also, there was once a single Glossodoris rufomarginata, possibly tossed up there by the waves, and a Petalifera lafonti on Padina algae, which was growing thickly in the pools. The pools were on the rocky lava coast on the right side of the photo. It was best to go on a day when the waves were not washing over the rocks! Offshore are Rabbit and Black Islands.
