I recorded one specimen of this species, from a night dive near Kepuhi Point on the northern edge of Makaha Beach, Oahu. It was crawling exposed on a rubbly bottom at a depth of about 45m on 3 December 1985. The ID is uncertain. Sea Slugs of Hawaii lists this as Notobryon sp.1 and the Sea Slug Forum places all varieties under N. wardi until more research sorts them out. The Hawaiian one looks very much like what we are calling Notobryon sp. e500 from the Marshall Islands.
