Our records show two specimens of this species, one from the intertidal reef at Maile, Oahu, on 8 June 1978 and the other from Magic Island on 30 August 1979. There is disagreement over the generic name for this group; the Sea Slug Forum lists it as Limenandra and Sea Slugs of Hawaii as Baeolidia. We personally have not looked at the arguments one way or another, and since we have been calling it Limenandra for a while now (and have it listed that way on the Marshall Islands Sea Slugs site), we will keep it there for now. This species looks very similar to and may be the same as Limenandra sp. 1 on the Sea Slug Forum.
