The identification of this Melibe is uncertain. The only specimen so far was found at Kwajalein Atoll living in a clump of Halimeda and other algae on a sandy lagoon reef at a depth of 8m. It may simply be an unusually large M. engeli, although it had lots of long pointed processes we do not see in that species.
