Something very similar but a bit lighter in background color is figured by Gosliner et al (2018) as Odontoglaja sp. 3. Although unconfirmed, it could be a color variant of Odontoglaja guamensis. We keep it separate since the coloration seems to be pretty consistent among the specimens we have found.
