Mexichromis trilineata (Adams & Reeve, 1850)

These small Mexichromis are not rare, but it is hard to resist shooting every one we see. We have recorded these from Bethlehem, Red Rock, Mato Point, Devil's Point, Red Palm, Ladder, Elephant Ear, Murals, Koala, Ligpo, Mainit Muck and El Pinoy.

You often see them hunkered down in their prey sponge.
