Amphiprion tricinctus in Entacmaea quadricolor. Commonly called the three-banded anemonefish, Amphiprion tricinctus is considered endemic to the Marshall Islands. That is, it occurs only here in the Marshalls. Often it lives in the pictured anemone, but is sometimes found in a variety of other anemones as well.Typical coloration of the fish is similar to the larger individual here, mostly orange in front and black in the rear with a black tail. Some small specimens are mostly orange, and adults that live in the carpet anemone Stichodactyla mertensii are usually mostly black. The DVD illustrates the various color forms.
