
This striking nudibranch, Nembrotha kubaryana, is found
occasionally on lagoon and oceanside reefs in the Marshalls. It eats small green tunicates
that grow exposed on rocks, so the nudibranch is often seen out and about during the day.
Its brilliant colors must serve to warn potential predators that is is a distasteful or
poisonous prey.
