Phyllognathia ceratophthalma (Balss, 1913)
15-20mm

These small colorful shrimp apparently eat echinoderms such as small starfish and brittlestars. They are hightly sought after as photo subjects. We have seen only a few, usually paired, at various spots in the Tulamben area.

This rather small individual was feasting on a white brittlestar.
