Phycocaris simulans Kemp, 1916
5mm

The ever popular hairy shrimp, a difficult creature to see. You have to look close for moving balls of fuzz. We saw these at several sites in the Tulamben and Blue Lagoon areas. They usually seem to be carrying eggs, but maybe the ones with eggs are just larger and easier to see.
