Cystiscus minutissimus

We have seen this figured both as
Cystiscus minutissimus and as Crithe huna. Crithe huna
was originally described as Cystiscus huna from Hawaii by Kay (1979),
who reported them to be uncommon in tide pools and to depths of 50m. Having done
considerable diving and study of mollusks in Hawaii and never seeing one of the
tiny but distinctive animals figured below, I believe these orange mantled animals
are not in Hawaii. So for now we will stick with C. minutissimus.
Specimens can be found, sometimes in groups, at various sites around Bali. The
photos below were taken in Gilimanuk Bay.
